Kiattaweesuk in action!

By Ray Wheatley — World of Boxing

Former Thailand Olympic representative Tantong Kiattaweesuk (10-0, 6 KOs) will be in action on Friday in Bangkok, Thailand when he clashes with Irfan Ogah (9-7, 4 KOs) of Indonesia over twelve rounds with the IBF Pan Pacific bantamweight title up for grabs. (Kiattawesuk was also national Muay Thai champion of Thailand.) Also classy Thai 130-pounder Wacharakritt Senaharn (13-1, 7 KOs) will punch it out with Hero Arema (18-2, 8 KOs) over twelve for vacant IBF Pan Pacific title. Arema lost a decision to former WBC jr lightweight challenger Napapol Kiatisakchokchai in his most recent bout. Senaharn only loss was a disputed stoppage to world rated Anthony Marcial in 2009. Promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang said, “Kiattaweesuk and Senaharn have outstanding skills and are ready to meet the best boxers in there division in Asia. Thailand boxing fans will see them Friday on national television on channel seven.”

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
