Former Thailand amateur champion Tantong Kiattaweesuk (11-0, 7 KOs) will clash with Bogie Delada (13-1,11 KOs) over twelve rounds at Sonkhla, South Thailand with the IBF Pan Pacific title up for grabs on July 17. Promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang is confident Kiattaweesuk has the skills to defeat the best bantamweights in the world, including IBF#5 Michael Domingo (38-14-2,16 KOs).
“Michael Domingo came to Bangkok in 2004 and was outpointed clearly over twelve rounds by my former boxer Terapong Distar. Kiattaweesuk is a better boxer than Distar and would defeat Domingo by knockout. I plan on making a good offer for the management of Domingo to challenge Kiattaweesuk for the IBF Pan Pacific 118 pound championship,” said Jimmy Chaichotchuang.
At the IBF convention in Panama City, Panama on May 27, 2009, Jimmy Chaichotchuang was named the leading IBF Promoter in the Asia Pacific Region. The Kiattaweesuk vs Delada bout will be televised throughout Thailand on Channel Seven Television Network.
