Former world rated lightweight Saddam Kietyongyuth (18-0, 14 KOs) of Thailand will return to ring action when he will clash with Jong-Yoon Chai (6-0, 2 KOs) of Korea on January 16 at the Sun Tec Conventional Hall in Singapore, Singapore. Thailand-based Australian promoter Daniel Potter said, “Saddam has been out of action for several months because of injury but we expect him to be back at his best when he fights in Singapore. He has the skills and power to win a world title in my opinion.”

WBC #11 bantamweight Leon Moore (25-2, 22 KOs) of Guyana will punch it out with Marangin Marbun (19-6-1, 7 KOs) with the PABA 122lb title up for grabs. Moore outscored former world champion Mauricio Pastrana in September 2009 and has been signed by Potter’s promotional company Asia Box. Welterweight Ariel Barotillo (3-0-2, 3 KOs) will meet Xu Cong Liang (7-0, 3 KOs) on an undercard bout. Promoter Asia Box.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
