Unbeaten UBA (Universal Boxing Association) Intercontinental super lightweight champion Daniyar Hanyk (10-0, 4 KOs) has signed a three-year promotional contract with King Ring Promotions. “We are very proud that the first boxer signed by King Ring Promotions was such a talented and gifted boxer as Daniyar,” said Alex Potapov, President of King Ring Promotion. “I did TV commentary on his last fight on March 30 in Kiev and was amazed. Hanyk has everything to grow in the future into a real superstar of professional boxing. Daniyar will be one of the top two boxers in the company. Within a few days we’ll sign a contract with another boxer who is well known in Ukraine.”
“For a long time it was very important for me to find the promoter,” Hanyk stated. “I’ve had only one fight in the last year. The offer from King Ring Promotions came just in time. The terms of the contract I was completely satisfied with. By signing I received the most important thing – the ability to develop and move forward. I am interested in this project and I’m sure I’ll have a big future with my new promoter.”
Fightnews.com reporter Alex Potapov started his own promotional company a few weeks ago. His goal is to develop professional boxing in Chernigov (about 90 miles north of Kiev), which has not had a professional boxing card since 2004 despite a wealth of talented boxers in the region.
