According to the Austin American Statesman, Austin boxer, James Kirkland (25-0, 22 KOs) was arrested by police on Sunday in Austin, Texas. The highly regarded Kirkland, who is slated to meet Michael Walker (19-1-2, 12 KOs) on the May 2 Ricky Hatton-Manny Pacquiao card in Las Vegas, has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon on the website of the Travis County Sheriff Department. He is still being held.
