WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over previously unbeaten Manuel Charr (21-1, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at the Olimpiyskiy Arena in Moscow, Russia. The much taller Klitschko kept Charr at the end of his jab and was pretty much in control of the fight. Charr was down at the end of round two from a blow to the top of the head. The bout was immediately stopped by the referee and ring doctor after a cut suffered by Charr over his right eye in round four. Charr was extremely angry about the stoppage and his corner was never given a chance to try to stop the blood.
Unbeaten heavyweight terror Magomed Abdusalamov (16-0, 16 KOs) survived a scare against 42-year-old former world title challenger Jameel McCline (41-13-3, 24 KOs). McCline dropped Abdusalamov almost immediately with a hard right hand. Abdusalamov was hurt but beat the count, then stormed back to floor McCline for the count in round two. Time 1:57.
