WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has filed a complaint against the WBC at the International Court of Arbitration for Sport to try to avoid making two mandatory defenses in a row. Klitschko is slated to face mandatory challenger Juan Carlos Gomez on March 21, with the winner to face ex-champ Oleg Masklaev within 120 days. Klitscho prefers to make a more lucrative voluntary defense after the Gomez fight, saying “the fight with Maskaev won’t be interesting for me or the spectators.”
