Opening today’s Klitschko-Sosnowski pay-per-view telecast will be unbeaten Balkan cruiserweight Nenad Borovcanin (25-0, 18 KOs), who will be tested by Raymond Ochieng (21-10-3, 17 KOs). Borovcanin is looking to capture the European cruiserweight belt this year.
Next up will be WBC #7 heavyweight Johnathon Banks (24-1, 17 KOs) defending his NABF title against Jason Gavern (19-7-3, 8 KOs). Gavern earned this high profile fight by defeating then WBC #8 rated Manny “El Toro” Quezada in April. Can Gavin pull off a second straight shocker?
WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (39-2, 37 KOs) will be making the fourth defense in his second WBC title reign. Since returning from a four year retirement, Vitali has defeated Samuel Peter, Juan Carlos Gomez, Chris Arreola and Kevin Johnson. Challenger Albert Sosnowski (45-2-1, 27 KOs) is coming off a win over Olympian Paolo Vidoz for the European championship.
The pay-per-telecast begins at 3PM ET/noon PT on both cable and satellite via iN Demand, DIRECTV, Avail-TVN and DISH Network in the United States, as well as Bell TV, Shaw PPV and Viewer’s Choice in Canada. Suggested price is $24.95.
