IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 51 KOs) scored a one-sided sixth round KO over Tony “The Tiger” Thompson (36-3, 24 KOs) on Saturday night at the Stade de Suisse in Berne, Switzerland. Klitschko was in command from the beginning. Wlad muscled the 40-year-old Thompson around the ring and landed most the hard shots. Klitschko dropped Thompson in round five with a big right hand. Another knockdown in the sixth and the bout was waved off.
Cruiserweight Nuri Seferi (32-6, 19 KOs) pounded out an eight round majority decision over Giulian Ilie (18-6-2, 5 KOs). Seferi dropped Ilie at the end of round six and again in round eight to win 76-76, 78-72, 78-73.
Unbeaten Detroit jr middleweight Tony Harrison moved to 8-0, 8 KOs with a first round annihilation over Flavio Turelli (10-6-2, 1 KO).
Unbeaten middleweight Istvan Szili (16-0, 6 KOs) outpointed Daniel Urbanski (21-10-3, 5 KOs) over eight rounds. Szili dropped Urbanski in round six and cruised to a 80-70 win on all cards.
