WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (44-2, 40 KOs) will fight against WBC International Silver heavyweight titlist Manuel Charr (21-0, 11 KOs) on September 1 at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kiev, Ukraine. Klitschko will fight for the second time in Ukraine, and the first time since 1998 when he knocked out Italian Francesco Spinelli in the first round. Now he’ll enter the ring in the main football stadium in Ukraine in the presence of 70,000 people. It is likely the last fight of Vitali’s career as he finally plans to go into politics. On October 28, he and the Punch” party (rus. UDAR – Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform) will take part in parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
