In an interesting female world title clash, IBF flyweight world champion Ava Knight and WBC flyweight world champion Mariana Juarez meet on October 13 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City with one goal: to show the world who is the best pound-for-pound female fighter in the flyweight division.
Knight was unconcerned by the altitude of Mexico City, since she is trained in the mountains of Big Bear, California, in the gym owned by multiple world champion Shane “Sugar” Mosley. “I don’t care if we’re fighting in Mexico City because I do my homework in the mountains,” said Knight.
On the same night is the highly anticipated rematch between Miguel “Mickey” Roman and Dante “Crazy” Jardon plus “Dinamita” Alvarez against Mauricio Pintor in a ten-rounds lightweight matchup.
