The June 27th super lightweight title defense of WBA world champion Andreas Kotelnik against British hope Amir Khan appears in jeopardy. Kotelnik may have to postpone the fight due to a tooth infection. A spokesman for promoter Frank Warren told the BBC, “We’re waiting to find out whether the fight will be delayed….We’re looking at a couple of things but if we can still go ahead on the 27th with another opponent we will. Frank is working on it and we should know something on Monday or Tuesday.”
