The Rio Grande Valley’s up and coming welterweight hope Roberto “La Amenaza” Garcia (26-2, 18 KOs) scored a seventh round TKO over Wilmer Hernandez (5-2, 5 KOs) last night at the Gimnasio de la Villa Olímpica in Desamparados, Costa Rica. Hernandez visited the canvas in the sixth stanza and not come out and face the tough Texan for the seventh round. Garcia is now set to fight in Laredo, Texas in June on a proposed ESPN show.
