According to local promoter Raul Utajara there will be a pro boxing show entitled “La Revolución” this Saturday at the National Western Stockshow Complex in Denver, Colorado. The card is set to feature the Delgado/Ghosttown Gladiators fighters including local favorite ‘Red Hot’ Rob Frankel, who recently left his longtime promoter and trainer, Airtight Boxing and Steve Mestas. They accumulated 37 fights together including 27 wins. No opponent has been named as of yet.
The undercard features a great local match up of super middleweights Victor Villareal and Isaac Atencio. Villareal has the experience but Atencio has yet to lose. This one should be good for fans.
Also featured on the undercard will be Shawn Nichol, 3-1, 3kos, vs Adam Ochoa, 1-0, 1ko, in a 4 round super bantamweight bout. Ft. Morgan’s Ernie Marquez, 8-5-1, 3kos, will go 6 with Adrian Aleman, 5-4-3, 3kos, at bantamweight. Colorado Springs light heavyweight Mike Montoya, 2-0, 2kos, will welcome Chris Cruz to the ring in Cruz’ debut. Montoya’s heavyweight brother Joey will make his pro debut against Colorado veteran, Jose Beltran, 5-10, 4kos.
Bouts are also ‘in the works’ for Ryan Grimaldo, Raul Carillo and Terry Buterbaugh for a total of 9 professional bouts.
The doors will open at 5 with the first bell at 7pm. For tickets and more information visit www.delgadopromotions.com or www.ghosttowngladiatorsboxing.com.
