Laguna suffers heart attack

Former two-time lightweight champion and Hall of Fame legend Ismael Laguna, 66, is in a critical state in a Panama city hospital after suffering a heart attack on Sunday. Laguna, “the Tiger from Colon”, is considered one of the greatest Latin boxers of all time and is vividly remembered for his trilogy (1-2) with Carlos Ortiz. Panama boxing fans are closely following the development of Ismael Laguna’ s state and Fightnews calls on all to pray for the great champion’s health in this dramatic moment.
