Late results from Thailand

In a nationally televised promotion former world rated Rusalee Samor (21-5-2) stopped Takayuki Okumoto (10-6-2) in the second round of a scheduled twelve to capture vacant IBF Asia junior bantamweight crown at the Thornburi University, Bangkok, Thailand on Friday. Samor dropped Okumoto in round two and the referee counted out the Japanese boxer at 2:30.

Promoter Jimmy Chaichothchuang said “Samor is a favourite of fight fans in Thailand and in 2014 we will target world title challenge against IBF champion Daki Kameda.”

IBF #12, 122 pounder Mike “Tyson” Tawatchai (31-7-1) outscored Arief Blader (20-12-1) over eight rounds

Featherweight Patomsith Pathompothong (6-0) stopped Paisuk Pothonggym in round three of a scheduled six.
