Latin Fury 10 heats up!

Neither spoke directly to each other, but both Urbano Antillon and Miguel Acosta told everyone they are coming to win a championship and will everything they can to win the title on Saturday night. Antillon (26-0, 19 KO’s) of Maywood, California and Acosta (25-3-2, 19 KO’s) of Caracas Venezuela will battle for the WBA Interim lightweight championship in the main event to Latin Fury 10 to be telecast live on Pay Per view by Top Rank from Tepic, Nayarit.

“One I was 16 years old and an amateur boxer I told my friends that one day I would be fighting for a World Championship on a pay per view card. Some laugh at me, but one guy bet 100 dollars that it would never happen, guess what I’m collecting my money on Monday when I get back to Maywood and will do it as a world champion”, said Antillon.

“I tell this story so everyone out there knowa that in life everything is possible and if no one is laughing at your dreams then your not dreaming big enough” said a Antillon with his voice breaking a lit bit.

Acosta also predicted a victory during the press conference today at the Grand Velas Hotel and Resort.

“I know Antillon is a tough guy, but the day he signed to fight me was the day he decided that he wanted to lose his first fight. I’m coming to win and to great the belt home”, said Acosta.

In another championship fight, Geovani Segura will defend his WBA mini flyweight crown against Filipino Juanito Rubillar, as his announced opponent Sony Boy Jaro, had visa trouble and was not able to make the flight from the Philippines.

“Latin Fury 10,” will take place This Saturday! July 25. In addition to the two world championship rumbles, it will also feature two 10 rounds fights in one bantamweight local hero Alberto “Topo” Rosas, of Tepic, Nayarit Mexico, will take on Alejandro Martinez, of Costa Rica and in an interstate battle of Sonora, undefeated prospect Hernan “Tyson” Marquez of Empalme, Sonora, will take on Juan “Panterita” Esquer of Navojoa, Sonora.
