A crowded press conference took place today in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico, in advance of Saturday’s “Latin Fury 11” that will take place at El Palenque de la Feria in this beautiful city. The card is headlined by the “son of the legend” Julio César Chávez Jr (39-0-1, 29 KOs) against Jason LeHoullier (21-1-1, 8 KOs) in a bout for the WBC Latin super welterweight belt. The card also features three time world champion Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel (39-2-1, 29 KOs) against Alejandro Valdez (21-3, 15 KOs) in a bantamweight ten rounder, and an attractive WBO strawweight clash between Manuel “Chango” Vargas (26-3-1, 11 KOs) and Donnie Nietes (21-4-3, 13 KOs).

On hand were the Secretary of Tourism of Nayarit Edwin Hernández, the Director of Sports of Nayarit Sara Bertha Valdez, the operations director of Zanfer Guillermo Brito and the boxers. The Secretary of Tourism said tickets are going fast and a full house of 5,000+ fight fans is expected. Tickets are 200, 300, 600, 1000, 1500 and 2000 pesos.
The card is presented by Top Rank and Zanfer Promotions in affiliation with the Government of the State of Nayarit and it will be transmitted in Mexico by TV Azteca and in the United States on pay-per-view.
