Sacramento super-middleweight Brandon Gonzales (8-0, 7 KOs), once top-ranked as an U.S. amateur boxer, has signed a multi-year contract with Let’s Get It On Promotions of Reno to develop his professional career. The company, expanding its stable of fighters, was started by former Nevada-based referee Mills Lane and is operated by sons Terrance and Thomas. In making the announcement Wednesday, Gonzales said the deal will allow him to continue to continue to train locally with veteran cornerman Ray Woods and occasionally fight in Sacramento where, along with fellow former Olympic aspirant Stan Martyniouk, he is regarded as one of the area’s brightest prospects.
