On the next day after a press conference to announce his next title defense against unbeaten Mexican Juan Carlos Salgado on October 10, WBA super-feather champ Jorge Linares (27-0, 18 KOs), a Japan-based Venezuelan, left for his native country on Wednesday to make a triumphal return, and then move to Las Vegas to do strenuous training with good sparring partners. The unbeaten Golden Boy (El Nino de Oro), 24, is supposed to return here in September for his final tune-up prior to the sensational event named “Homecoming.”
