Juan Manuel Lopez (28-0, 25 KOs) patiently broke down Steven Luevano (37-2-1, 15 KOs) over seven rounds to capture the WBO featherweight championship this past Saturday at Madison Square Garden. In the co-main event, WBA featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (17-0, 15 KOs) demolished challenger Rogers Mtagwa 25-14-2, 18 KOs) inside of two rounds to setup a potential title unification Lopez. Several other prospects plus a few New York area favorites – including John Duddy – were also showcased on the undercard. (More)
