Puerto Rico’s Jose ‘Carita’ Lopez (38-7-2, 32KOs) and Thailand’s Pramuansak Posuwan (45-1-1, 24KOs) will battle for the vacant WBO super flyweight title this Saturday at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The two combatants faced off Wednesday at their press conference in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. “My previous four world title attempts have all been on the road and this will be my first in my native Puerto Rico. I’m in excellent condition as I’m sure is Posuwan which will make for an explosive fight for the fans,” said Lopez. Posuwan stated, “I’ve prepared four months for this fight and I’m in excellent condition. I’m very confident I will win the world title in Puerto Rico this Saturday night.” The event titled ‘Night of champions will be promoted by PR Best Boxing and televised on Direct TV. Also featured on the card in separate bouts will be former world champions Eric Morel and Manny Siaca. Recently PR Best Boxing signed former Olympian Carlos Negron will be making his professional debut as well. Former world title challenger Henry Bruseles has been added to the card as well.
