Lopez-Posuwan undercard!

By Lee Bates

As previously announced on Fightnews, Puerto Rico’s Jose “Carita” Lopez (38-7-2, 32 KOs) will now meet Thailand’s Pramuansak Posuwan (45-1-1, 24 KOs) for the WBO interim super flyweight title March 28th in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The event will take place at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez and be promoted by PR Best Boxing ( Ivan & Peter Rivera). Two ex-world champions have now been added to the card in former WBA super middleweight champion Manny Siaca (21-6, 18 KOs) and former WBA super flyweight champion Eric Morel (40-2, 21 KOs).

Siaca will be making his career debut at middleweight against veteran George Klinesmith (24-13-4,14KOs). Siaca scored a huge upset in 2004 over then WBA super middlweight champion Anthony Mundine. Puerto Rico’s Siaca decisioned Mundine in his homeland of Australia. Siaca now looks to have the same success he had at super middleweight in the middleweight division.

Morel will take on an opponent to be announced in a 10 round bout. Morel was originally supposed to fight WBO super flyweight champion Fernando Montiel for the WBO interim batamweight title. Montiel will take on another foe for the title instead but the winner must face Morel in their next bout.

Former world title challenger Henry Bruseles (27-3-1,15KOs) has also been added to the card in a junior welterweight contest against an opponent to be announced.
