Big puncher Antonio “Kañitas” Lozada (28-1, 24 KOs) won the WBF welterweight championship with a fourth round TKO over Daniel Valenzuela (28-14-1, 16 KOs) on Saturday in the Auditorium Ernesto Ruffo Appel in Rosarito, Baja California. Lozada Jr. floored Valenzuela three times in the fourth round and got the victory at 1:02 when Valenzuela was counted out.
Featherweight prospect Adrian Estrella (8-0, 8 KOs) remained unbeaten by stopping Jesus Laguna (11-5-2, 11 KOs) at 58 seconds of the sixth round.
The former world champion Ivan “Choko” Hernandez (26-5-1, 17 KOs) showed his experience at times but was surprisingly defeated by Arthur Gutierrez (12-7-2, 11 KOs) by split decision.
