Lucero triumphs

In a featherweight main event former world title challenger Emmanuel Lucero (24-5-1, 14 KOs) returned to the ring with a unanimous eight round decision win over veteran Robert Da Luz on Thursday night at the Township Auditorium, Columbia, South Carolina. Lucero once unsuccessfully challenged then IBF super bantamweight champion Manny Pacquiao.

On the undercard unbeaten super middleweight irish prospect Chris Fitzpatrick (11-0, 4 KOs) blasted out Vincent Robbins in one round. Welterweight Harrison Cuello (20-13-3, 15 KOs) rebounded from his loss earlier this month to Breidis Prescott with a 1st round KO of Shane Gierke. The event was promoted by Andrew Stokes’ Palmetto Boxing.
