Featherweight champion Steven Luevano shook out at the R.W. Lewis Boxing Gym in Oxnard on Thursday afternoon in preparation for his title defense on Saturday, August 15th. Under trainers Eduardo and Robert Garcia, Luevano (36-1-1, 15 KO’s) worked the mitts and the heavy bag at the recently-opened gym in an industrial area of Oxnard. Luevano, of La Puente, CA, will defend his title against Bernabe Concepcion (29-1-1, 16 KOs) on the “Pinoy Power 2” card at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Top Rank promotes this card.
