Argentine welterweight Sebastián Luján (31-5-1, 19 KOs ) won a close fight against Venezuelan Charlie Navarro (17-3-0, 12 KOs) by majority decision in the main event of “Rosario de Nocauts” promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, Aranno Promotions and HBO. The event took place at the Newells Old Boys soccer stadium in Rosario, Argentina with nearly 4,000 fans on hand. Judges Edgardo Codutti and Adalberto Lleonart scored it 116-112 for Luján, Ramón Cerdán had it 114-114. Referee was Jorge Basile. All officials were from Argentina.
In the co-feature, unbeaten Lucas Matthysse (24-0, 22 KOs) scored a second round KO over Dominican Luís Ernesto José (29-6, 24 KOs) in a bout for the WBO Latino super lightweight title.
Lightweight Carlos “Buby” Rodríguez (20-2, 10 KOs ) was a winner by sixth round KO over Alberto Santillán (15-2, 3 KOs).
Other Results: Cruiserweight Rogelio Rossi (10-2, 5 KOs ) won a six round unanimous decision over Orlando Farías (16-7, 6 KOs); lightweight Pablo Barboza (6-0, 3 KOs) topped Eduardo Monge (4-5-1, 1 KO) by unanimous decision in a four-rounder; lightweight Alejandro Gómez (10-16-3, 2 KOs) took a four round split decision over Leandro Almagro (9-10-1, 2 KOs); lightweight Lucas Obregón (3-0) won a unanimous four-round decision over Oscar Mutuverría (5-5-1).
