WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (26-0, 23 KO’s) and former world title challenger Matthew “Mack The Knife” Macklin (29-4, 20 KO’s) faced off today at a press conference in New York City to announce their June 29 fight at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

Golovkin was low key and respectful as usual, while Macklin proclaimed that “GGG” won’t be able to just walk in on him like he has against some of his past opponents. “…he is going to lose on June 29th,” stated Macklin. “When Bernard Hopkins fought Felix Trinidad, everyone was picking Trinidad to walk right through Hopkins and knock him out. That didn’t happen though and Hopkins knocked him out, and that is exactly what is going to happen when we meet on June 29th. I am going to knock GGG out!”

Tickets will go on sale Monday, April 15th and are priced at $300, $200, $90 and $45.
