WBA welterweight Champion Paul Malignaggi survived an eleventh round knockdown to get past Pablo Cesar Cano by close split decision. All three Showtime commentators scored the bout for Cano as did official judge Glenn Feldman, who gave Cano ten of the twelve rounds. Judges Nelson Vazquez and Tom Muller both had Malignaggi winning by one point 114-113.
