Undefeated slugger Marco Demecillo Singwangcha (17-0, 13 KOs) will risk his clean record as he defends his Philippine Superflyweight Title against fellow undefeated fighter Marjun Tabamo (8-0-1, 2 KOs). The fight which is being presented by RWS and Singwangcha Promotions will be held on September 25 at the MSU IIT Gym in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte.
The fight will also serve as Singwangcha’s will also serve as preparatory bout for a yet bigger fight in Dubai on November.
According to Marco’s manager Rex Wakee Salud, “we are preparing Marco for bigger fights and eventually secure a title fight for him. He is very young but he learns fast. He has the raw power to knock any opponent out. But he needs to mature in terms of skills and timing. He tends to slug and fight toe to toe. That will not work against elite opponents in the future. I hope to find a slot for him in a Manny Pacquiao undercard soon.”
Marco has defeated formidable Filipino foes in the likes of Jeffrey Cerna whom he stopped in round7 and Marvin Mabait whom he disposed in the third round and from whom he snatched the Philippine belt. He is being co-managed by Thai International promoter Naris Singwangcha.
