Undefeated Roberto Marroquin of Dallas will be at a meet-and-greet with fight fans at the Texas State Fair in Dallas on Thursday, October 15. Marroquin will be in the Time Warner Cable booth where he will sign autographs and talk about the upcoming Firepower mega fight featuring Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on November 14. There will be Pacquiao and Cotto posters at the Time Warner Cable booth, located in the Centennial Building on International Blvd at the Cotton Bowl. Marroquin will be there from 3 to 5 pm local time.
“I am very excited to meet all of the fight fans and talk about Pacquiao and Cotto,” Marroquin said.
Marroquin, 20, is a young, unbeaten prospect who boxes in the super bantamweight division.
“Technically, Marroquin has it all together in the ring. He has great skills with a lot of power,” said Bruce Trampler, Top Rank’s chief matchmaker. “He’s also a young expert on who wins the big fights.”
“Not telling anyone yet,” Marroquin said. “I’ll let the fight fans know tomorrow how I feel about the Pacquiao and Cotto fight while at the State Fair.”
After signing autographs from 3 pm to 5 pm, Marroquin will head to the Dallas airport and take a flight to Corpus Christi. He is scheduled to fight Jose Garcia Bernal on a Top Rank boxing card outdoors at the Whataburger Field on Saturday night. Brandon Rios and Manny Perez will battle in the main event, televised by Azteca America.
Pacquiao vs. Cotto is promoted by Top Rank, in association with the MGM Grand and Tecate. Pacquiao vs. Cotto will be available on HBO Pay Per View.
