San Diego bantamweight Christopher Martin (12-0-2, 2KO) is all ready to make a run at his first title when he faces veteran Trinidad “Triny” Mendoza (24-18-2, 19KO) for the California State title this Thursday night from the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in San Diego, CA. “I have had a great camp and I am ready for the challenge,” Martin stated. “Although we have met inside a ring before, Mendoza is a tough fighter and I know that I am in for a long night but I am ready for anything, I want to win the title in my hometown.”
The seasoned Mendoza has stepped in between the ropes with renown world champions such as Israel Vazquez, Danny Romero, Jhonny Gonzalez and Daniel Ponce De Leon.
In the semi main event, hard hitting Andrew Cancio (7-1, 7KO) squares off against TBA.
Also on the fight card will be a couple of pro debuts when Oceanside, CA’s Mike Robinson meets Andre Carthon in the heavyweight division and welterweights Erin Beach and Mario Angeles face off.
One more bout rounds out the night.
Billed as “The Rematch”, the five bout fight card is being staged by Bobby D. Presents and Jorge Marron Promotions. The Four Points Sheraton is located at 8110 Aero Drive, San Diego, CA 92123 and it is all ages. Food and drinks will be served.
