Undefeated super featherweight champion Roman Martinez and challenger Ricky Burns both made weight for their showdown on Saturday at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow, Scotland. The unbeaten Martinez weighed 128.8 lbs., while Burns scaled in at 129.8.
Martínez (24-0-1, 15 KOs) is going to make his second title bout in the United Kingdom after winning the belt last year in Manchester when he beat Nicky Cook by KO in March 2009. Burns is a 27 year old fighter with a record of 28-2, 7KOs.
The bout will start at 10:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. Eastern Time). Referee for the fight is Michael Ortega from United States, while judges are Paul Thomas from England, Donald Trella from United States and Zoltan Enyedi from Hungary.
