Martinez in Glasgow

WBO junior lightweight champion Román “Rocky” Martinez traveled this afternoon to Glasgow, Scotland, to complete his training for his Saturday, September 4 bout versus Ricky Burns at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow, Scotland. Martinez (24-0-1, 15 KOs) will defend his title for the third time against Burns (28-2, 7KOs). Martinez won the title last March 14, 2009 when he knocked out British Nicky Cook in England. Martinez traveled with his trainers Raúl “Papo” Torres and Dennis “Sensei” Rivera, and his manager Manuel Martinez. The night will be promoted by Peter Rivera, PR Best Boxing Promotions.
