Martinez vows to KO Punisher

WBC super welterweight champion Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez (44-1-2, 24 KOs) vowed today to knock out two-division WBO champ Paul “The Punisher” Williams (37-1, 27 KOs) when they meet in a middleweight bout on December 5th at the Boardwalk Hall Ballroom in Atlantic City. “I’m going to win by knockout and I’m sure of it,” said Martinez. “I’m in the best shape of my life and at the peak of my career. I’m a lot faster than Paul and I don’t take as many hits as he does, so I know that will really bode well for me in the fight.” Williams said he’s heard it before. “They all say they’re going to win until they get in the ring, then all that changes once the punches start flying.”
