World ranked Lucas Matthysee (27-1, 25 KOs) of Argentina and former world champion Demarcus “Chop Chop” Corley (36-15-1, 22 KOs) faced off today. The two will meet this Friday in Mendoza, Argentina. It will be Corley’s second trip to Argentina in less than 5 months. The 36-year-old Corley gave then WBA super lightweight interim champion Marcos Maidana (29-2, 27 KOs) all he could handle in losing a very competitive decision this past August. The 28-year-old Matthysee will look to rebound from his narrow decision loss to former multi-divisonal champion to Zab Judah (40-6, 27 KOs) last month. Matthysee-Corley will air on HBO Plus in Latin America and Telefutura in the U.S.
