This morning at the Camino Real Hotel in Mexico City, WBC Exceutive Secretary Mauricio Sulaiman was elected as the new World Boxing Council President. Mauricio, 44, is coincidentally taking over his late father’s position at the same age Don Jose Sulaiman was elected WBC President in Tunisia in 1975. Thus, Mauricio will lead the premier boxing organization of the world until 2016 when the next election will be held for a full four-year term. All the 26 elections participants voted for Sulaiman.
