Mayfield doubtful for Aug 17 card

Word is unbeaten San Francisco-based junior welterweight Karim Mayfield (16-0-1, 10 KOs) hurt his wrist last night and Prize Fight Promotions is now waiting for the results of an MRI. Apparently it doesn’t look good for him to fight on August 17 in Richmond, California as scheduled. Karim was to be featured in the main event of the final regular “Friday Night Fights” telecast of 2012.
