On the first day of the year, the UFC lightweight title challenger carried an undefeated record into the Octagon against champion Frankie Edgar, and used the first five minutes of their contest to batter “The Answer” around the cage at will, coming as close to putting away a fighter as you can without having the bout actually be stopped.
