With the exception of a brief minute and a half window in the fourth round, the war between lightweight contenders Gray Maynard and Clay Guida never materialized, but when it was over Friday night, Maynard got back in the win column the hard way, eking out a close split decision victory in the UFC on FX main event at the Revel Casino.
