McEwan beaten by 2-0 fighter in Prizefighter

Heavy betting favorite Craig McEwan (21-3, 10 KOs) shockingly crashed out of the Prizefighter: Light Middleweight tournament in the first fight of the night at York Hall in London. McEwan lost a three round split decision to three fight novice Larry Ekundayo (3-0, 1 KO).

Other quarterfinal results: Kris Carslaw (17-2, 4 KOs) won a split decision over Ryan Toms (11-4-1, 6 KOs); Terry Carruthers (12-13-6, 1 KO) topped Peter Vaughan (6-2-1, 1 KO) by unanimous decision; Navid Mansouri (9-0-1, 3 KOs) took a split nod over Curtis Valentine (5-3, 4 KOs)

Semifinals: Larry Ekundayo (4-0, 1 KO) won a UD over Kris Carslaw (17-3, 4 KOs); Terry Carruthers (13-13-6, 1 KO) won a split decision over previously unbeaten Navid Mansouri (9-1-1, 3 KOs).

Final: Larry Ekundayo (5-0, 2 KOs) scored a third round TKO over Terry Carruthers (13-14-6, 1 KO).
