Former two-division world champion Cristian “Diamante” Mijares (46-6-2, 21 kos) scored a hard fought ten round unanimous decision over Eusebio “Cascabel” Osejo in a super bantamweight bout on Saturday night at the Palenque de la Feria in Aguascalientes, Mexico. All three judges scored it for Mijares 97-92.
“I want to go for a world title,” said Mijares afterward. “We are ready in all respects. I have asked Zanfer to get me a world title fight against the super bantamweight or featherweight champion.”
Super bantamweight Felipe ¨Gallito¨ Orucuta (24-1, 20 KOs) scored an impressive second round TKO over Filipino Richard Garcia (24-15-1, 6 KOs).
Also unbeaten jr middleweight Rodrigo Garcia (11-0, 6 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Jesus ¨Burbu¨ Rivera (21-8, 13 KOs) in a good fight.
