Mike Jones returns Saturday!

WBA #7 and IBF #13-ranked welterweight contender, Mike “MJ” Jones (18-0, 15 KOs), of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania returns to the ring this Saturday at Bally’s Atlantic City in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Jones will face Raul Pinzon (16-3, 15 KOs), of Barranquilla, Colombia in a ten round contest. Jones will be making his third start of 2009, having bested another Colombian, Dario Esalas, and Lenin Arroyo earlier in the year. In the co-feature, Gabriel “King” Rosado (12-4, 7 KOs) and Latif Mundy (8-1, 3 KOs) will meet in an eight round all-Philadelphia junior middleweight rumble. Both fighters are coming off hard-fought defeats, and are eager to get back on track. Peltz Boxing is promoting the card.

The show marks the return of former welterweight contender and reality TV star Michael “No Joke” Stewart. Returning as a welterweight, Stewart (43-7-2, 23 KOs), of New Castle, Delaware will meet Louie Leija (21-12-1, 15 KOs), of San Antonio, Texas in a six round bout.

Other bouts:

Ronald Cruz (6-0, 4 KOs) will face Ashante Hendrickson (1-4) in a six round welterweight bout.

Julio Sanchez (3-0, 2 KOs) will face Phillip Jackson Benson (3-1, 3 KOs) in a four round light heavyweight bout.

Josh Mercado (2-0, 1 KO) will face Epifiano Cosme Rodriguez in a four round welterweight bout. Rodriguez will be making his pro debut.

Khalil Farah (5-3, 1 KO) will face Keith Kozlin (3-0, 1 KO) in a four round light heavyweight bout.
