Unbeaten featherweight contender Miguel Angel Garcia will fight on October 22nd underneath a fight card headlined by bantamweight world title holder Nonito Donaire, manager Cameron Dunkin told Fightnews.com on Thursday afternoon. Garcia (26-0, 22 KO’s) will fight in a non-televised bout against an opponent to be determined, although Dunkin is holding out hope that HBO would show clips of the fight, as the premium channel is schedules to only air the Donaire fight. Garcia, who is co-trained by his older brother Robert and father Eduardo, is coming off a fourth round knockout victory over late replacement Rafael Guzman at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on June 4th. Although Carson, CA has been rumored as the place where Donaire will headline the October 22nd card, Dunkin claims that Top Rank is now looking at San Jose, CA or Las Vegas. Top Rank promotes both Donaire and Garcia.
