Former WBO world title challenger Brian “The Beast” Minto (36-5, 23 KOs) destroyed heavyweight Matt Hicks (13-7, 12 KOs) Saturday night at the Mountaineer Casino and Resort in Chester, West Virginia. After Minto landed a devastating overhand right late in the initial stanza, the bout was halted at 2:48 of round one. The victory marks Minto’s second win in his last three fights.
