Minto targets smaller heavyweight contenders

Former WBO world title challenger Brian “The Beast” Minto (37-5) is looking for another busy year and has targeted several other smaller heavyweight contenders. After several fights in 2012 and coming from wins including the WBA NABA-US heavyweight title, Minto aims to land a fight with other former cruiserweight title challengers who are now competing in the heavyweight division. Minto states, “I match up experience and size-wise with perenial contenders such as David Haye (26-2), Tomasz Adamek (48-2), Johnathon Banks (29-1) and Jean Marc Mormeck (36-5).” Minto’s action-packed style has given him many major television opportunities around the world, and he has been victorious on HBO PPV, RTL and has multiple victories on ESPN. “I am in the best shape of my life, a solid 215 pounds, and look forward to facing the very best guys in the sport who are my size,” added Minto.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
