Miranda-Montes ends in draw; Rojas and Reyes triumph

Former WBO flyweight world champion Julio Cesar “Pingo” Miranda (37-8-2, 29 KOs) and Juan Jose “Goofy” Montes (23-3-2, 14 KOs) battled to a draw on Saturaday at the Plaza de Toros Monumental in Cuidad Hidalgo, Michoacan, Mexico. At the end of twelve exciting rounds, the scores were 115-112, 113-114 and 113-113.

In the co-feature, former WBC world champion Tomas “Gusano” Rojas (40-14-1, 27 KOs) scored a sixth round KO over Jaderes Padua (8-2-1, 5 KOs)

Also, middleweight KO artist Marco “Dorado” Reyes (27-1, 22 KOs) stopped 43-year-old Eric “Murder” Mitchell (23-10-1, 11 KOs) in round five.
