Former Australian heavyweight champion Bob Mirovic (29-22-2, 20 KOs) will return to ring action on Friday when he will clash with New Zealand heavyweight Bob Gasio (11-15-3, 3 KOs) at the Revesby Workers club in Revesby, NSW, Australia. Mirovic has boxed several world class heavyweights all over the world including former world heavyweight champion Frans Botha who he dropped a twelve round decision to in 2007 in South Africa and was unlucky to lose in Gemany to Timo Hoffman over ten in a disputed points loss. American Rob Calloway and Kali Meehan also punched it out with Mirovic in exciting fights.
On the same card big punching heavyweight Michael Kirby (6-3-1, 4 KOs) will meet Tongan Alipate Liava’a (4-4, 2 KOs) over six rounds. Kirby scored the best win of his career in 2009 when he stopped former heavyweight champion Nathan Briggs in nine rounds.
Light heavyweight prospect Michael Van Nimwegen (3-1, 2 KOs) will be in action against John Boyd (1-3, 1 KO) over six rounds.
The promoter is former Australian lightweight contender Paul Nasari.
