Miura rushed to the hospital after retaining his WBC title against Thompson

UPDATE: Miura went to the hospital as a precaution and did not spend overnight. He got back to the hotel at at 1 AM, and tests showed no liver problems, just dehydration from the heat. He is in good health and good spirits.

WBC super featherweight champion Takashi Miura was hospitalized with possible liver damage following his brutal twelve round unanimous decision win over Sergio “Yeyo” Thompson on Saturday night in Cancun. After the fight, Miura vomited up blood and he was rushed to Playa Med Hospital.
