Nadjib Mohammedi (17-0, 7 KOs) retained his French light heavyweight title with an wide unanimous decision over Martial Bella Oleme (8-19-1, 1 KOs) on Thursday evening at the Cirque d’Hiver in Paris. Scores were 100-90, 100-90, 100-91. On the same card, two quarter-final of the new 2009 jr middleweight tournament took place. Ex-European challenger Hussein Bayram (29-3, 15 KOs) won by TKO3 when Frederic Serre (8-4, 2 KO) suffered an injury, and French jr welter champion Ismael El Massoudi (29-2, 12 KOs) stopped Yoann Camonin (10-3-1, 2 KOs). The referee called a halt to the bout in round five.
